Banfield, The Pet Hospital® And Vmed Technology Announce High Technology Monitors And Software For 650 Pet Hospitals Across The United States

Mill Creek, Wash. and Portland, Ore.,  October 15, 2007  Banfield, The Pet Hospital ®, the largest privately-owned veterinary practice in the world and Vmed Technology, a five-year-old developer and manufacturer of advanced veterinary monitors, have signed a development, supply and licensing contract.

Vmed will provide customized software and interface its PC-VetGard+ patient monitor and diagnostic ECG program to Banfield’s hospital computers using Bluetooth wireless technology.  The new system, known as the Banfield Pet-Protect™, will display and store patient monitoring information on computers. This is a multi-parameter monitoring unit that includes: pulse oximetry, ECG, temperature, blood pressure and end tidal CO2.

 Banfield will begin equipping its Pet hospitals with the new wireless technology immediately.
