New wireless blood pressure monitor available January 2010 Vmed Technology, Mill Creek, WA, introduces the BP-AccuGard™ wireless animal blood pressure monitor. Superior animal validated non-invasive technology allows quick, accurate readings even in the awake patient. Manual and Auto modes are selectable for diagnostic or surgical applications. Calculates mean pressures over several readings for best accuracy. Displays systolic, diastolic, MAP and heart rate on the monitor and uses the optional Bluetooth wireless link for display of measurements and pressure waveforms on your computer or network screen. Files are stored on the computer hard drive and can easily be attached to most practice management programs.  Reports can be sent by email or printed from your computer or network printer. New wireless ECG/Recovery monitor available December 2009 Vmed Technology, Mill Creek, WA, introduces the PC-VetChek™ miniature wireless ECG, respiration and temperature monitor.  Research reports that most anesthesia deaths occur within three hours of termination of surgery and that post surgical monitoring of vital signs can reduce this rate. The battery operated monitor can be attached to the recovery cage or strapped to the animal.  Bluetooth wireless technology allows the display of up to seven monitors on one computer to a distance of 100 meters making the PC-VetChek a cost effective central station monitor.  Central station systems are available with a laptop computer and 24" computer display.  Files can be stored on the computer, emailed to a referral center and are easily attached to most practice management programs. Banfield, The Pet Hospital^® And Vmed Technology Announce Agreement

Mill Creek, Wash. and Portland, Ore.,  October 15, 2007  Banfield,The Pet Hospital ^®, the largest privately-owned veterinary practice in the world and Vmed Technology, a five-year-old developer and manufacturer of advanced veterinary monitors, have signed a development, supply and licensing contract.

Vmed will provide customized software and interface its PC-VetGard+ patient monitor and diagnostic ECG program to Banfield’s hospital computers using Bluetooth wireless technology.  The new system, known as the Banfield Pet-Protect™, will display and store patient monitoring information on computers. This is a multi-parameter monitoring unit that includes: pulse oximetry, ECG, temperature, blood pressure and end tidal CO2.

“All of the veterinarians and team members at Banfield are committed to giving Pets the same level of quality healthcare that we expect for ourselves,” says John Payne, President and CEO for Banfield.  “The new Vmed technology will help Banfield uphold our high standards of care in patient monitoring and records management.”

AviMark Practice Management Integration

The Vmed integration allows for specific client/patient data to be pulled from the AVImark system and automatically populated in Vmed's "patient episode file" that is created by the PC-Display software.  PC-Display software is used in conjunction with Vmed's wireless monitors for the purpose of displaying and storing patient monitor parameters and ECG waveform data.

Requires AVImark version 2008; Requires Vmed PC-Display version 1.53 or higher.
